Am I a non-EU/EEA, Nordic, or EU/EEA applicant?

There are 3 different application categories with different deadlines, and different requirements. It is very important to apply in the correct category, or your application may be rejected.

Rule of thumb:
If you need to apply for a visa in order to study in Norway you are a non-EU/EEA applicant, we do not send visa letters in the EU/EEA or Nordic admission.

  • You have legal stay in Norway that lasts the duration of the programme, but do not meet the Norwegian language requirement
  • If you have at least one citizenship from a Nordic country, and you do not meet the Norwegian language requirement
