Course contents
Generally: About the molecules, cells and tissue of the immune system; how humoral and cellular immune responses are generated; antigen presentation for T-cells and the immune system's effector mechanisms. Specifically: How the immune system tracks the antigen, how lymphocyte receptor repertory is extended, the immune system's reaction to foreign bodies (the immune response) and the reaction's function in the defence against infections; finally about auto-immune disorders and transplantation.
Objective of the course
The students are expected to learn the equivalent of the defined syllabus in the text book.
