Course contents
The course is directed to the pollution of northern environments, in particular the Arctic. It is planned to give upper graduate and Ph.D. students an opportunity to focus upon marine pollution in the Arctic and adjacent environments. It is announced as a national and Nordic course. The language will be English and the time interval for the course is 12 days only. The focus will be given to transport pathways and mechanisms, bioaccumulation and magnification, persistent organics, heavy metals, radio nucleids, hydrocarbons, eutrophication, benthos, environmental monitoring, harmful algae, climate and green house gasses, pollution and human health and pollution and human food

Objective of the course
To understand the mechanisms by which pollutants are transported into the Arctic, the types of pollution, important mechanisms for accumulation in the biota and its effect on humans
