About the course

Teoretical

The students will learn the basic principles of price determination, pricing institutions, and have an introduction to selected quantitative techniques applied to selected agro-food and seafood commodities. We examine basic forces that influence agro-food and seafood prices in a spatial and temporal context. Examples of empirical price analysis applied to real world problems are investigated. Course topics include characteristics of agro-food and seafood prices.

Objectives of the course

The primary objective of the course is to familiarize students with the practise of price analysis using microeconomic theory and statistics.

Multiple approaches through lectures and seminars.
