Course contents
The lectures will touch on topics such as: sterilisation, inoculation, growth medium, batch vs. continuous cultures, expression systems, fermentation techniques, instrumentation and control, production and control. The lab course covers preparation and sterilisation of fermentors, inoculation of cell cultures in fermentors, process control, optimisation of fermentation processes, cleaning of fermentors and analysis of the fermentation product.
