Course contents
The course provides a quantitative description of drug absorption, distribution and elimination. The pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic aspects of the main drug categories will be described and therapeutic medication principles, mechanisms and side-effects will be outlined. The course will also describes chemical mediators and their corresponding receptors in the nervous system.
Objective of the course
The course should give the student an introduction to the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of the main drug categories.

Teaching methods
Lectures, pharmacokinetic calculation (exercises) and lab work. The pharmacokinetic exercises and lab work / records need to be approved prior to final exam.

Written exam (4 hours) Grade type: alphabetical grades (A-F)
