Course contents
The course includes the following topics: legislation and regulation of animal experimentation in ethics in animal experimentation, pain and stress biology, fish health and welfare, anaesthesia/immobilisation, acclimation, environmental needs, tagging methods.
Objective of the course
The course is mandatory for researchers who carry out experiments with aquatic animals (fish and decapoda) and fulfil the Ministry's requirements for researches, category C.

Assessment methods
Written examination (100% final mark). Participation in the practical course required.

20.05.2009 - Examination date is preliminary and may be subject to change. The definitive examination date will be announced on notice boards at the faculties at the beginning of the month of May for the spring semester and the beginning of the month of November for the autumn semester.
