The fieldtrip to the Southern parts of Troms County have the following programme:  

6th. September:

Visit to Trondarnes historiske senter and guided tour to the medieval stone church - Trondarnes Church, Harstad.
Topic: The meeting between the Sami and the Norse. 

Visit at the Laila Inga’s Siida
Topic: The Reindeer Husbandry at Iinnasuolu/Hinnøya island 

7th. September:

Visit to Várdobáiki Sami Centre
Meeting with Ms Kjersti Myrnes Balto and other staff at the Várdobáiki Sami Centre.
Topics: The regional and local role of Várdobáiki, Sami institutionalization building. Sami museum and repatriation of Sami cultural heritage, Sami language revitalization work, the role of the Sami Parliament and Sami communities

Visit to Gállogiedde outdoor museum
Topics: Background, responsibilities and challenges of local museums. Information about the Sami festival Márkomeannu

Visit to the localities of Stuornjárga Sámi Duodji
Vuopmegeahči /Trøssemark
Topic: Local engagement and the work of strengthening duodji (Sami handicraft) 

8. September:

Visit to the Bardufoss Upper Secondary School and to the Sami Primary School, at Haraldvollen.
Topic: Education for Sami children, education about Sami culture in Norwegian schools
