Organizing scientific meetings in Tromsø was a central part of the project, both to bring the international community north and to build a Norwegian community in applied and computational algebra.

• Women of Mathematics Throughout the World – the project brought the travelling portrait exhibition to Tromsø in August 2019 and supported the addition of a new portrait, of the Norwegian algebraic geometer Ragni Piene
• Baltic Way 2022 – the international team mathematics competition, hosted in Tromsø
